Job summary

Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona seeks an Associate Director of Nursing for the Emergency Department. You will lead daily operations, guide clinical care, and drive performance improvements in a busy Level III trauma center serving adults and pediatrics.

This role includes budget ownership, staff development, and implementing evidence-based practices to ensure safe, high-quality, cost-efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required for all new hires.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification.
• Two years of clinical management experience relevant to patient population.
• Familiarity with Alzheimer’s disease and developmental disabilities (LTC setting) may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manages unit operations to ensure smooth, safe patient care and resource utilization.
• Leads quality and process improvement initiatives and oversees change implementation.
• Facilitates communication of system, regional, facility and department initiatives.
• Manages operational and capital budgets and use of resources.
• Develops staff leadership and supports career advancement opportunities.
