The position leads a cohesive team, drives clinical and operational performance, and collaborates with physicians in a university medical center setting. A BSN/MSN and RN licensure are required, with a focus on staff development and patient safety.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required for all new hires.
• BSN required for internal transfers/promotions within 6 months of transfer/promotion.
• Requires a current RN license in state of practice.
• Requires BLS certification.
• Two years of clinical management experience recommended.
• Demonstrates knowledge of clinical care management and leadership in the specified population.

Responsabilités

• Manages and facilitates patient-centered nursing care for designated populations and oversees unit operations.
• Leads quality and process improvement initiatives with the director and staff input.
• Facilitates communication of system, regional, facility and department initiatives.
• Oversees operational and capital budgets and resource use.
• Develops staff leadership and supports career advancement.
• Responsible for staff selection, orientation, onboarding, and retention; coaching and evaluations.
• Develops entry-level nurse managers and leads clinical improvement initiatives.
