Job summary

Avera Marshall Hospital in Marshall, MN is seeking an experienced nurse leader to oversee total nursing care and ensure high-quality resident care. You will manage staffing, policy implementation, and coordination of QAPI initiatives with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes staff development, compliance with CMS/Joint Commission standards, and collaboration with physicians to plan care. Eligible for a $50,000 sign-on bonus; compensation reflects leadership responsibilities and 24/7

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• 4-6 years in long-term/skilled care or similar experience.
• Preferred 1-3 years of leadership experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide total nursing care of residents and maintain nursing care records.
• Oversee all Federal/State SNF Conditions of Participation including admissions, MDS/Care planning, restorative nursing and care delivery.
• Establish and implement policies for total resident care across nursing activities, social services, and delegated medical care.
• Determine staffing levels with Administrator and create a 24/7 nursing staffing pattern.
• Participate in planning, decision making and budgeting for the facility.
• Coordinate QAPI program and involve staff in quality improvements.
• Delegate non-nursing tasks appropriately and monitor execution.
• Coordinate Medicare/Medicaid coverage requirements.
• Ensure comprehensive care plans and discharge/transfer planning for residents.
• Interview, hire, train and develop staff; provide coaching and resolve issues.
