Responsibilities

• Assist departments with quality improvement initiatives, including project development, data collection, reporting, action plans, and outcome evaluation.
• Complete audits, reports, and documentation related to QAPI, infection control, and safety activities while communicating findings to the Administrator and Medical Director.
• Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, state, and local regulations regarding quality standards, infection prevention, universal precautions, and workplace safety.
• Monitor infection control practices and procedures to ensure staff follow best practices for exposure prevention and resident safety.
• Partner with the Director of Nursing to support performance evaluations, staff coaching, and supervision of nursing and CNA team members.
• Lead facility committees and meetings, including Pain Management, QAPI, Safety, and Staff Meetings.
• Complete Department of Health (DOH) reports and ensure regulatory adherence.
• Assess physiological changes affecting resident conditions while promoting high-quality care.
• Champion EMR usage throughout the facility.
• Promote Resident Rights with dignity, respect, and compassionate care.

Position Overview:

The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, coordinating, and evaluating the facility's Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) and Infection Control programs in accordance with federal, state, and organizational guidelines. This role also provides oversight for safety, security, and occupational health initiatives while supporting nursing leadership and regulatory compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist departments with quality improvement initiatives, including project development, data collection, reporting, action plans, and outcome evaluation.
• Complete required audits, reports, and documentation related to QAPI, infection control, and safety activities while communicating findings to the Administrator and Medical Director.
• Ensure compliance with current CDC, OSHA, state, and local regulations regarding quality standards, infection prevention, universal precautions, and workplace safety.
• Monitor infection control practices and procedures to ensure staff consistently follow best practices involving exposure prevention, contaminated material handling, and resident safety.
• Partner with the Director of Nursing to support performance evaluations, staff coaching, communication, and supervision of nursing and CNA team members.
• Lead and facilitate facility committees and meetings, including Pain Management, QAPI, Safety, Staff Meetings, and other identified initiatives.
