Job summary

Orrville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team in delivering patient-centered care to residents. The DON will oversee the nursing department, ensure regulatory compliance, manage staff, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans.

Qualified candidates hold an MSN or DNP, an active Ohio RN license, and have leadership experience. Doctoral degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• RN license in Ohio is required.
• MSN or DNP is required; doctoral degree preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the nursing department, including skilled nursing services, medication management, and wound care.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure regulatory compliance and improve patient outcomes.
• Lead and manage a team of licensed nurses and other staff to provide high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and feedback, and recommend promotions or disciplinary actions.
