Job summary

Concept Rehab & Engage Consulting seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing services at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Newark, Ohio. This hands-on role focuses on quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff development.

The DON will oversee daily clinical operations, mentor RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, and ensure accurate documentation and appropriate staffing. Ohio RN licensure and prior DON experience are preferred for this leadership position.

Qualifications

• Current active Ohio RN license in good standing.
• Previous Director of Nursing experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and Ohio long-term care requirements.
• Proven leadership, staff management, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure safe, high-quality resident care.
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Develop staffing plans and monitor schedules for proper coverage.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and CMS requirements.
• Monitor clinical outcomes, quality measures, infection prevention, and resident safety.
• Oversee resident assessments, care plans, and accurate documentation.
• Participate in QAPI initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with Administrator, Medical Director, and department heads to improve care delivery.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and a positive workplace culture.
• Prepare for regulatory surveys and assist with corrective action plans when needed.
