Job summary

Cross Healthcare Services seeks a Director of Nursing to oversee the nursing department and ensure quality resident care in line with physicians' orders and regulatory standards. The role requires 24-hour supervision, staffing oversight, and leadership in clinical governance.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, a valid Texas RN license, and at least 3 years of nursing administration experience, with knowledge of long-term care regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required or equivalent.
• Current Texas RN license in good standing.
• 3+ years of nursing administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of state, federal, and local long-term care regulations.
• Must be available to be on call 24 hours a day.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total care plans for each resident in line with physician orders and regulations.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise nursing staff.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage schedules and payroll approvals.
• Monitor quality of care and ensure nursing documentation meets standards.
• Oversee nursing department budgeting and supply costs.
