The role involves steering staffing, policy development, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with physicians, therapists, and administrators to optimize resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state where work is performed.
• 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience in healthcare or long-term care.
• Strong clinical knowledge in nursing, including assessment, care planning, medication management, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the nursing department to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate resident care.
• Oversee development and implementation of nursing policies and standards in line with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and administrators to coordinate resident care.
• Monitor nursing services and resident outcomes, including assessments, care planning, and infection control.
• Provide clinical supervision, education, and feedback to promote staff development.
• Oversee recruitment, orientation, and retention of nursing staff to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
• Educate staff on job expectations and applicable regulations.
• Assign tasks and ensure quality work and resident care.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
• Act as liaison with residents, families, and stakeholders to address concerns.
