Job summary

PACS is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee and supervise care for all residents. The DON is a registered nurse who provides direct resident care when needed and leads the nursing department.

Minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program with a BSN preferred and at least seven years of nurse management experience. Compensation ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 per year, DOE.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; must be in good standing with State Board of Nursing and maintain continuing education/licensing requirements.
• Minimum 7 years nurse management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the nursing department and staffing levels.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
• Ensure resident safety and respectful treatment.
• Coordinate MDS and care planning; liaise with physicians and families.
• Conduct employee appraisals and handle disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and resident information.
• Provide direct resident care when needed.
