Job summary

PACS is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON), a registered nurse who oversees and supervises resident care across the facility. The DON also provides direct resident/patient care as needed and leads the nursing staff to achieve excellence in outcomes.

The role requires BSN (preferred) and significant nurse management experience, with accountability for budgeting, staffing, training, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Must be in good standing with the State Board of Nursing and maintain continuing education/licensing requirements.
• Minimum of 7 years nurse management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the nursing department and staffing levels.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance and quality care.
• Ensure resident safety and respect in care delivery.
• Coordinate MDS and care planning; participate in QA and state surveys.
