Job summary

Paradigm Houston, part of Paradigm Healthcare, seeks a Director of Nursing to plan, organize, develop, and direct the Nursing Department at a Houston facility. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards while driving patient quality outcomes, staff retention, and staff education.

Responsibilities include leading staff, developing policies, coordinating with other services, and maintaining a robust QA program to support safe, high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred
• 2 years’ experience in a Supervisor role in healthcare, Long-Term Care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing department per rules and guidelines
• Maintain and update written policies and procedures for the nursing service
• Develop nursing service organization structure and staffing plans
• Report to Administrator and Director of Nursing on nursing operation
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services for comprehensive care
• Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for nursing
• Assist in investigations and corrective action plans with authorities
• Schedule and participate in care plan meetings and discharge planning
• Ensure licensure, staffing, and compliance with federal/state/local regulations
