Job summary

Paradigm Healthcare is seeking an experienced Unit Manager (LVN or RN) to join Paradigm Northwest in Houston, TX. The role focuses on supervising nursing staff, supporting the DON and administration, and ensuring the highest quality of care for residents.

The position requires active licensure (LVN/RN) in Texas, plus prior supervisory experience in healthcare or long-term care, with strong policy communication and budget oversight skills.

Qualifications

• Current, active LVN or RN license in the state.
• 3 years’ supervisor experience in healthcare, LTC preferred.
• Six months rehab/restorative nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of reimbursement regulations and nursing facility administration.
• Ability to make independent decisions and communicate policies clearly.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff to ensure quality care.
• Assist DON and nursing admin with staff development.
• Ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Conduct staff in-services and audits.
• Manage resident care rounds and budget adherence.
• Recruit and schedule nursing personnel.
• Maintain infection control practices.
• Respond to emergencies and on-call coverage.
