Job summary

Evercare is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead the nursing department and ensure delivery of high-quality patient care in a long-term care setting. The role involves developing policies, coordinating with physicians and other clinicians, and guiding staff to meet regulatory standards.

The successful candidate will have a BSN or higher, an active RN license, and at least five years in a leadership role, with strong Medicare knowledge and exceptional communication skills.

Qualifications

• BSN (or higher) degree preferred.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years in a nursing leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations and compliance.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the nursing department and ensure high-quality patient care.
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures and protocols.
• Collaborate with other health care professionals to develop care plans.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing staff performance and provide guidance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Medicare standards.
• Manage budgeting for the nursing department, including staffing and supplies.
• Participate in strategic planning to improve patient outcomes.
