Job summary

BrightStar Care of Concord, Lexington & Woburn is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations and the nursing team in delivering high-quality home health care. The DON will ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety while guiding staff development and performance.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with physicians and facilities, and enhancing patient outcomes. Competitive compensation includes base salary, annual bonus, sign-on, PTO, and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Massachusetts.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience; leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for all clinical operations and staff.
• Supervise, mentor, and support RNs, LPNs, therapists, and other clinical personnel.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop clinical team members.
• Establish clear expectations, promote accountability, and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Oversee clinical quality assurance, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Review clinical documentation, care plans, and patient records for accuracy and completeness.
