Job summary

BrightStar Care of Concord, Lexington & Woburn seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations, develop the nursing team, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional home health care.

The DON will oversee patient care quality, coordinate with physicians and hospitals, and drive performance-based improvements across the agency. Leadership and strategic initiatives are central to this role.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Massachusetts.
• Current CPR certification.
• 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience, home health preferred.
• Nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for all clinical operations and staff.
• Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, therapists, aides, and other personnel.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop clinical team members.
• Establish expectations, accountability, and a positive work environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
• Oversee clinical quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure accurate patient assessments and care plans.
• Coordinate with physicians and hospitals to support continuity of care.
• Support admissions, start-of-care visits, and ongoing service delivery.
• Drive referral development and agency growth.
