Job summary

Safe Harbor Recovery Center is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead and supervise nursing services, ensuring safe, client-centered care in a behavioral health setting. The role requires clinical expertise, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with executive leadership.

Responsibilities include staffing, budgeting, medication management, infection control, and program development to align with organizational goals. On-site leadership is required at the Virginia facility.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Master’s degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing is preferred.
• Three or more years of nursing practice experience required.
• One or more years of psychiatric or behavioral health experience required.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training required.

Responsibilities

• Sets the vision for nursing practice and leads safe, timely, equitable client-centered care.
• Manages daily operations of nursing services and staffing.
• Oversees medication management, inventory, and regulatory compliance.
• Establishes infection control programs and safety protocols; audits care delivery.
• Assists CEO with budget preparation and strategic planning.
