Job summary

Wise Path Recovery Center in West Virginia is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing operations within our substance use disorder and behavioral health treatment program. This hands-on leadership role balances clinical excellence, team leadership, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day operations.

As a senior member of the treatment team, you will work with medical, clinical, operational, and executive leadership to ensure compassionate, recovery-oriented

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted RN license in West Virginia.
BSN from an accredited program.
CPR and First Aid current or obtainable within 30 days of hire.
Proven ability to lead, supervise, and develop nursing staff.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation readiness.

Responsibilities

Lead day‑to‑day nursing operations and oversight.
Develop and maintain nursing schedules to ensure coverage and acuity.
Provide direct nursing support when needed to meet patient care needs.
Establish clear nursing workflows and shift handoff procedures.
Maintain oversight of medication processes and clinical documentation.
Drive compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and leadership on treatment planning.
