Job summary

Advanced Recovery Systems is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead the Nursing/Health Services Department and ensure high-quality care for patients in psychiatric and substance abuse treatment settings. The role collaborates with facility leadership to execute standards, policies, and staffing plans.

Requires a BSN (or higher), RN license in good standing, CPR certification, and 5 years of nursing leadership in residential or inpatient settings. Comprehensive benefits are provided upon hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Five (5) years’ experience in nursing field with emphasis in psychiatric, substance abuse, or eating disorders required.
• Registered Nurse in the State of licensure, active and in good standing required.
• CPR Certification required
• Experience in Nursing Leadership within a Residential or Inpatient treatment environment

Responsibilities

• Defines and maintains the standards of nursing practices.
• Assesses the quality of care rendered.
• Develops and enforces nursing policies and procedures per regulatory standards.
• Manages staffing, recruitment, retention and staff development for nursing/health services.
• Collaborates with other departments to improve patient care and staff development.
• Serves on the facility’s core management team and integrates nursing into operations.
• Oversees nursing staffing levels and applies a staffing grid and flex staffing.
• Coordinates with Infection Control to maintain safety and infection control.
• Oversees pharmacy and laboratory services.
• Oversees patient rights program and ensures dignified patient treatment.
• Manages department budget and expenditures for nursing supplies and equipment.
• Provides direct nursing services including documentation, medication administration and medical protocol implementation.
• Attends meetings, stays updated on nursing regulations, and participates in required training.
• Complies with regulatory, licensing and accreditation standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
