Job summary

Wise Path Recovery Centers, in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services, seeks a Program Director to oversee Wise Path Recovery Center in Williamson, WV. This exempt, on-site leadership role guides clinical, recovery, and program staff to deliver person-centered treatment.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, drive quality, engage staff and community partners, and maintain patient rights and safety in a 24/7 setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive leadership experience in substance use disorder treatment, healthcare, business management, or facility operations.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred in human services, business, management, or related discipline.
• 3+ years in a supervisory/management role with direct reports.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and accreditation standards (Joint Commission experience preferred).
• Ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive program performance.
• Excellent communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for clinical, recovery, and program staff.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, and retain high-performing team members.
• Foster a trauma-informed, accountable, and mission-aligned workplace culture.
• Oversee performance management, coaching, and corrective action processes.
• Direct daily program operations to ensure safety, quality, and consistency of care.
• Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and workflows aligned with ARS standards.
• Partner with clinical leadership to ensure evidence-based, individualized treatment delivery.
• Support staffing plans, scheduling, and program-level operational needs.
• Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, Joint Commission standards, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain survey readiness and documentation integrity across program areas.
• Oversee incident reporting, investigations, corrective action plans, and grievance resolution.
• Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
