Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Irving, TX seeks a Nursing Development Manager to lead education strategy, organize programs, and keep current with trends that improve patient and staff outcomes. Manage budgets, assess onboarding and hospital-wide nursing education initiatives, and foster scholarly growth.

Responsibilities include coordinating education resources, supporting both Generalists and Specialists, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing patient education materials and staff

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field required.
• Two years of professional development leadership experience.
• Two years of RN experience in the OR or ED.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Education Budget and manage resources to meet fiscal targets.
• Evaluate onboarding, learning programs, and education for nursing hospital-wide.
• Create a nurturing work environment that supports nursing education, professional growth, research, and scholarly pursuits.
• Assist Generalists and Specialists in growth, plan for talent, and recruit new team members.
• Oversee department compliance with regulations and update clinical skills for development.
• Provide clear discharge instructions and educational materials for diabetes, oncology, and heart failure.
