Job summary

Orbis Education, in partnership with Averett University, seeks Nursing Med-Surg Clinical Instructors to support the Accelerated BSN program in Norfolk, VA. Instructors supervise clinical education at partner facilities and help students develop psychomotor skills, professionalism, practice, and critical thinking.

Responsibilities include facilitating learning, guiding students, coordinating with faculty and healthcare staff, and ensuring effective evaluations.

Qualifications

Two years of teaching experience preferred.
Current unencumbered RN license in Virginia or any compact state.
Completed BSN; pursuing MSN.

Responsibilities

Facilitate effective student learning in the assigned clinical setting.
Provide adequate guidance for students in the clinical setting related to professionalism, practice, and research.
Selects and organises learning activities which facilitate the student’s attainment of the course objectives.
Ensure effective evaluations of student practice.
Promote evidence-based practice.
Provide a supportive learning environment by providing feedback on student progress to supervisory personnel.
Collaborate with other faculty, administration as and with the healthcare partner and its staff.
Attend all required orientation, training and faculty meetings.
