Job summary

UNTWN Uniontown Hospital is seeking a Nursing Care Assistant to provide direct patient care and support daily operations on the unit.

You will perform vital signs, help with activities of daily living, restock supplies, and communicate patient information to the nurse to ensure safe, compassionate care for patients served.

The role requires a high school diploma and PA CNA certification, with one year of clinical experience preferred; shift details include 36 hours per week and non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Pennsylvania Department of Health Nursing Assistant Certification preferred.
• 1 year recent clinical experience or active enrollment in a health program enabling CNA skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including hygiene, comfort, safety, nutrition and elimination needs.
• Record and communicate patient information to the nurse accurately.
• Orient patients to the unit and room on admission and throughout stay.
• Respond to call lights and perform timely rounds to meet patient/family needs.
• Document tasks per unit policies and maintain clean equipment and areas.
• Assist with emergencies and transport patients as required.
