Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pennsylvania Nursing Assistant Certification preferred.
• One year of direct patient care experience or current enrollment in a related program.

Responsibilities

• Provides and assists with patient care including basic hygiene, comfort, support and safety measures, nutrition and elimination needs.
• Performs vital signs, weighs, glucose monitoring, and mobility tasks as directed.
• Communicates patient information to the nurse and documents tasks per policy.
• Orientates patient and family to the unit and room upon admission and ongoing.
• Responds to call lights and performs timely rounding to meet patient/family needs.
• Cleans equipment, reports defects, and maintains unit cleanliness and organization.
• Assists with interunit transfers and patient transport as needed.
• Restocks supplies and monitors unit inventory.
