NewYork-Presbyterian/The Allen Hospital is seeking a Nursing Attendant I for the Float Pool on the Evening Shift. The role involves bedside care, vitals monitoring, meal delivery, patient transport, and collaboration with Nurses and ICU Technicians to keep fast-paced units running smoothly.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, current American Heart Association CPR, and either prior nurse’s aide experience in an acute care setting, a valid nurse aide certification, or current BSN

Qualifications

• Must meet one of: nurse's aide experience in hospital, certification from an approved nurse aide program, or current BSN enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure, temperature, and vital signs.
• Assist with meals delivery and safe patient transport.
• Provide comfort and hospitality to patients and families.
• Support RN supervision and teamwork with nurses and technicians.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment while delivering compassionate care.

Nursing Attendant I - Float Pool - FullTime- Evening Shift

Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.

The shift for this position is 3:00pm - 11:00am, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• At least 1 year of nurse’s aide experience in an acute care setting

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association
• Must meet one of the following: previous nurse’s aide experience in a hospital setting, certification from an approved accredited nurse aide training program, or current enrollment in a BSN program

Salary Range:

$24.60-$26.46/Hourly
