Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Night Shift Nursing Aide for the Women’s and Children’s Health Float Pool at Weill Cornell Medical Center. You will assist with bedside care, monitor vitals, and help with meals and safe patient transport under the supervision of a registered nurse.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of CNA experience, a high school diploma or GED, and current CPR certification. This full-time night shift includes rotating weekends and holidays, with competitive hourly

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a certified nurses aide.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Assist at bedside and with patient care under RN supervision.
• Monitor vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure.
• Assist with meals delivery and safe patient transport.
• Provide compassionate patient-focused care and support teamwork with nurses and ICU staff.

Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurses aide at NYP-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.

Job Type

This is a full time night shift position. Includes rotating weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• At least one year of experience as a certified nurses aid.

Required Criteria

• Previous Nurse’s aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing, at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association required.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $29.02-$34.85/Hourly
