Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Nursing Attendant for the Full Time Evening shift (3PM - 11PM) at 3 North Med Surg/Tele, Queens Hospital. The role supports bedside care and collaborates with nurses and techs to ensure comfort and safety for patients.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with meals and transport, and maintaining a clean, safe environment under RN supervision. Requires Nurse Aide experience or certification, or BSN student in clinical practicum, with BLS.

Qualifications

• Prior Nurse’s Aide experience or equivalent in hospital setting.
• Certification from approved Nurse Aide training program, or currently enrolled in BSN program with clinical practicum.
• BLS from AHA required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
• Deliver meals and assist with safe patient transport.
• Provide compassionate patient-focused care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy patient environment.
• Contribute to teamwork with Nurses, ICU Technicians, and other staff.

This is a Full Time Evening (36.25 hrs/wk; 3PM - 11PM) shift position at NYP/Queens Hospital. Rotating weekends and holidays required.

Required Criteria

Previous Nurse’s aide experience or equivalent in a hospital setting; or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program, or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum BLS from AHA HS Diploma/GED Must be able to complete mandatory 2 week orientation Monday - Friday from 8AM - 4PM upon hire.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $26.24-$27.91/Hourly
