Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in Bronxville, NY is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the 11:00 PM to 7:15 AM night shift. You will assist with patient care, monitor vital signs, help with meals and transportation, and support nurses and care partners to ensure a safe, comfortable patient experience at NYP Westchester Hospital.

The role requires CPR training, and prior acute care or certified nurse aide experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year in acute care setting preferred or certified long term care Nursing Assistant.
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association (BLS).
• Previous Nurse’s aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing, at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum.

Nursing Assistant – 6 North - Med/Surg - F/T - Nights At NewYork -Presbyterian, certified nursing assistants thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers. Together, we serve as critical points of contact for patients and their families. Be a true partner with Nurses, Patient Care Partners and more. Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients, while ensuring the delivery of meals and safe transport. So, bring your smile to work. Infuse energy and hospitality into a patient's day. Provide comfort and caring as a certified nursing assistant at NYP-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve patient experience and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration, and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care. This is a full‑time night shift position with hours from 11:00 PM to 7:15 AM , including rotating weekends and holidays , based at NewYork ‑Presbyterian Westchester Hospital in Bronxville , conveniently located directly across from the Metro‑North station .

Preferred Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED
