Job summary
Veterans Health Administration in Fargo ND is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support care for Veterans in acute to chronic conditions within the Community Living Center. You will work under the supervision of licensed nurses, performing essential nursing tasks and contributing to patient comfort and safety.
The role requires English proficiency, basic nursing skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy clinical setting.
Qualifications
- Six months of general experience or one year of education above high school with NA-related courses
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) per VA standards
- Ability to provide patient/resident care under supervision and follow care plans
Responsibilities
- Assist with care of acutely ill and/or complex residents
- Observe changes in residents' condition and report to RN
- Perform pulse oximetry, vital signs, and basic assessments
- Assist with wound care and patient teaching
- Support patient safety and comfort, and document care provided
- Transport residents to tests and procedures as directed
