Job summary

Good Samaritan in Blackduck, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant Trainee for a part-time position. The trainee works under a licensed nurse to deliver holistic, client-centered care and supports activities of daily living and safety for seniors.

The program is hybrid with online and hands-on training; upon completion, the trainee may pursue CNA certification. Starting rate is $18.00 per hour with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA license required within four months of employment.
• UAP Registry if applicable.
• Sanford Driving Policy requires valid driver’s license and driving eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Maintain client dignity, independence and safety in care.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic health needs.
• Document client care and report changes to the nurse.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, meal support, and housekeeping as assigned.
