Sanford Health in Minnesota invites applications for the Nursing Assistant Trainee role. The program is designed to develop confidence and competence to provide personal care under a licensed nurse and a preceptor, within a non-certified nursing assistant framework.

The Training Program is hybrid, combining online coursework with hands-on skills development, and prepares participants to take state CNA exams to achieve certification.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required within four months of employment.
• When applicable, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
• Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report and a valid driver's license.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide personal care to clients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, eating as appropriate).
• Document client care and communicate changes to the licensed nurse.
• Assist with transfers, range of motion, walking, and vital signs as needed.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and psychosocial support.
• Support housekeeping and laundry as assigned within non-certified nursing assistant role.
