Job summary

AtlantiCare Rehabilitation Hospital - In partnership with Select Medical is seeking a Nursing Assistant for per diem/day and night shifts at 23 East Jimmie Leads Road, NJ 08205.

You will assist patients with daily care, monitor vital signs, provide meals, and support mobility in a 60-bed rehab setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as a Nursing Assistant or NA certification, or related field experience.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, hair care).
• Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who cannot feed themselves, document oral intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients Safely, assist mobility programs.
• Transport patients to designated areas and treatment centers.

Schedule: Per Diem/PRN-Day & Night 7:00AM-7:00PM OR 7:00PM-7:00AM (Weekday & Weeekend requirements)

Compensation: $21.00/ hourly +competitive shift differentials

A partnership between Atlanticare and Select Medical, our 60-bed medical rehabilitation hospital will open later this year and serve patients in southeastern New Jersey. Led by a physiatrist – a physician board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation – our team includes rehabilitation nurses; physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists; dietitians; case managers and other clinical and support staff.

Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care to best address the medical, physical, emotional and vocational challenges for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation and multiple traumas.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
