Job summary

Henry Ford Health - Detroit Main Campus is seeking a Nurse Assistant to provide basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role supports safety and comfort needs and contributes to care planning under established procedures.

The position requires a CNA-related education, with BSN-being pursued acceptable, and prior NA/PCT/PAT experience preferred. Night shift available through the Patient Care Staffing Services department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program or equivalent is preferred.
• Medical Assistant program acceptable with or without experience.
• At least 1 year of NA/PCT/PAT or similar role preferred.
• May be enrolled in a nursing program with completed Fundamentals of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of an RN, performs patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Provides input to assist RN in planning and implementing patient care.
• Responds to emergent situations per established procedures.
• Recognizes and participates in continuing education; follows Standards of Excellence.

Education

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Nurse Assistant program (or equivalent)

Medical Assistant program (with or without experience)

1 year NA/PCT/PAT experience

Enrolled in a nursing program (course completed)

Foreign trained RN relocating to US without MI license
