Job summary

Penn Medicine seeks a Nursing Assistant to join the MedSurg/Tele Unit, working 7:00am to 7:30pm with 2/12 hour shifts and every 3rd weekend. The role includes cross-training for Unit Coordinator duties and providing age-appropriate patient care.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and Basic Life Support; CNA preferred. You will collaborate with RNs and the care team to ensure patient comfort, safety, and unit readiness.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
• Education Specialization: Equivalent Experience: 0-1 years acute care facility or hospital clinical experience
• 0-1 years Secretarial skills or healthcare experience

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients to preserve dignity and psychosocial needs.
• Bathe patients and assist with hygiene and grooming.
• Change bed linens and assist with meals
• Obtain vital signs and document; communicate with RN and care team
• Chart management and unit coordination duties as assigned
