Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the MedSurg/Tele Unit. The role runs 7:00am–7:30pm with 2/12 hour shifts weekly and every third weekend plus holiday rotation, cross-training for Unit Coordinator duties, and responsibilities in patient care and office support.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient hygiene, meals, vital signs, and documentation, while maintaining patient dignity and collaborating with the RN and care team.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• 0-1 year of acute care or hospital clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients to preserve dignity and privacy.
• Bathes patients and assists with hygiene and meals.
• Obtains vital signs and records patient metrics.
• Cross-trained to support unit coordination and clerical tasks.
• Communicates with RN and care team in a timely manner.
• Maintains unit readiness and proper chart management.
