Corewell Health’s 7NW unit at Royal Oak Hospital is seeking a part-time Observer to assist with patient safety and support across bariatric and general surgery patients. The role includes night shifts (18:30–07:00) with a 12-hour weekly schedule and requires a high school diploma and preferred CNA/BLS credentials.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients per plan of care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher.
• Serve as an Observer for patients requiring constant observation, in person or via remote video monitoring.
• Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to support unit operations.
• Document care provided in the electronic medical record.
