Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time observer/Nurse Aide on the 7 North East Medical Surgical unit in Royal Oak. You will assist in patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, transport patients, and perform unit clerical tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma, CNA certification preferred, and BLS is required. Work a day shift with 24 hours per week; benefits and vaccine requirements apply for on-site roles.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required.
• Current CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher and document services.
• Provide the services of an Observer for patients requiring constant observation.
• Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate unit functioning and document care in the EMR.
