Job summary

Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the night shift. You will perform direct patient care and clerical duties, supporting the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, quality care.

The role offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, a minimum $16.25 hourly rate, and up to $3 per hour in shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. Opportunities to advance with tuition assistance are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Ability to document and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care and clerical duties as needed.
• Document patient needs and changes in condition for licensed staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living and hygiene.
• Transcribe and process orders per unit standards.
• Coordinate transportation of patients for tests.
• Serve as a mentor/preceptor to new staff.
