Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Medical Surgical Unit in Shakopee, MN. This part-time position involves 12-hour night shifts with a 60-hour two-week pay period and every 3rd weekend rotation. You will assist with direct patient care under RN supervision, perform vital signs, and help with activities of daily living.

The role requires CNA training or equivalent clinical experience, BLS certification, and a commitment to patient-centered care within a unionized environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program or equivalent.
• Clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program.
• Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy program or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assist in delivery of patient care including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and positioning.
• Collect and document vital signs and health observations.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges and post-mortem care as needed.
• Ensure safety and comfort of patients and maintain clean, stocked environment.
