Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Ft. Worth (Plano) is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time night shifts in Plano, TX. The role provides post-ICU care in a critical illness recovery setting, with comprehensive orientation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bath patients using basin-less products and assist with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with transfers.
• Keep bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and equipment clean.
• Maintain patient rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Monitor and stock unit supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
