Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Ft. Worth (Plano) is seeking a Nursing Assistant for PRN/Per Diem shifts in Plano, TX. You will support patient care, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain clean, safe patient environments in a post-ICU setting.

As part of a large team, you will participate in hourly rounds and ensure comfortable, compassionate care while adhering to hospital protocols. CNA certification or equivalent experience is preferred, with BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA, or related field.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathed patients using basin-less bath products and assisted with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Participated in hourly rounds to monitor patients.
• Transported patients to and from treatment centers and assisted transporters with move- ments.
• Maintained cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and other equipment.
• Kept patient rooms clean and orderly; managed unit stock levels as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
