Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Atlantic City is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN/night shifts at 1925 Pacific Ave, 5th Floor. You will assist with bathing, feeding, hygiene, and daily rounds, ensuring patient comfort and safety in a critical illness recovery setting.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, nursing assistant certification or equivalent experience, and BLS within 90 days of hire. Part-time/per diem position with potential for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certification as a Nursing Assistant or related nursing aide experience is required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide bathing using basin-less bath products and assist with oral hygiene.
• Assist with oral feeding and hair care for patients.
• Participate in hourly rounds and transport patients as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment.
• Restock supplies and perform other duties as assigned.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
