Job summary

Select Medical in Wilmington, DE is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN/Per Diem night shifts. You will play a central role in compassionate patient care and support post-ICU recovery patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or certification as NA or medical assistant.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bath patients and assist with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with moving them.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule: PRN/Per Diem Night Shift, 12-hour shiftsCompensation: $24.00 per hour, plus shift differentials for nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
