Select Specialty Hospital - Springfield is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN/Per Diem night shifts in Springfield, MO. The role includes patient bathing, hygiene, rounds, transport, and basic care, with a $19.00/hour wage and a $1,750 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA or related field.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less products and providing oral hygiene and feeding care.
• Perform hourly rounds and monitor patient conditions.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist movement to stretchers or wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and other instruments.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; restock supplies as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the nursing team.

• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
