Select Specialty Hospital - Southeast Ohio (Newark) is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to join our team on a PRN/Per Diem basis. This role supports patient care with daily activities, monitoring, and respectful assistance.

The position offers a 12-hour night shift, $22 per hour, and opportunities for advancement. Completion of the orientation and maintaining BLS within 90 days are expected to ensure high-quality inpatient care.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of related work experience.
• Certification as a nursing assistant or related field (e.g., medical assistant).
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Assist patients with bathing, oral hygiene, feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients and assist with movement of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and related instruments.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Monitor and restock unit supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

Position: Nursing Assistant (NA)

Location: Select Specialty Hospital - Southeast Ohio (Newark - On Campus of Licking Memorial Hospital)

Schedule: PRN/Per Diem, 12-hour shifts / Nights

Compensation: $22 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair

• Participate in hourly rounds

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs

• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs

• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition

• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed

• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
