Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - West TN in Jackson, TN is seeking a Nursing Assistant for PRN/Per Diem night shifts. You will assist with bathing, hygiene, feeding, and mobility, and participate in hourly rounds to support patient comfort and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, hospital NA certification or experience, and BLS within 90 days. The facility offers orientation, potential path to full-time opportunities, and benefits including a 401k after 1000 hours.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, oral hygiene, feeding and grooming
• Conduct hourly rounds to monitor patient needs and safety
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with transfer equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs)
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly
• Maintain unit stock levels as directed and perform other duties as assigned

Schedule: PRN/Per Diem/As Needed - 12 Hour Shifts - Night Shift 7:00pm-7:00am
Compensation: $20.00 per Hour
Sign on Bonus: $2,000
Preferred Experience: 1 year nursing assistant experience in hospital setting preferred

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs

• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
