Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Camp Hill is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN/Per Diem, 12-hour shifts. Compensation is $20.00 per hour with shift differentials for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or related work experience (3+ years).
• Nursing assistant certification or hospital experience preferred/required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatments and assist with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, bedpans, urinals, and equipment.
• Keep unit stocked with supplies and perform other duties as assigned.

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
