Job summary

Essentia Health - St Marys Hospital in Detroit Lakes is seeking a Nurse Aide to provide direct patient care under supervision. You will assist with personal hygiene, meals, comfort, safe transfers, and vital sign checks, while maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Shifts are overnight, 24 hours per week, with every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. BLS within 3 months required; nurse aide training or active state registration is required. Benefits and incentive options may apply.

Qualifications

• Must complete a recognized nurse aide training program or be listed on the state nurse aide registry.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Schedule includes 24 hours per week with overnight shifts, every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and comfort under the supervision of the RN/Nurse Manager/Head Nurse/Director.
• Assist with personal hygiene, nutrition, and comforting patients; support with transfers.
• Take and document vital signs; maintain accurate records.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and report promptly to the RN.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment to promote healing.

Building Location:St Marys Hospital - Detroit LakesDepartment:3063240 MED SURG - DL HOSPJob Description:Responsible for providing direct care to patients and serving the needs of patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director (possibly with guidance from an LPN) to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Duties will vary by patient care unit/department and include but are not limited to: Providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs, providing comfort care and other assistance, appropriately and safely transferring patients, taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping, recognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process.
