Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Springfield is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to join our night shift team in Springfield, Missouri. The role offers full-time, 12-hour nights and compensation between $17.00 and $20.73 per hour, with a $3,500 sign-on bonus based on experience.

You will assist with bathing, oral care, feeding, rounds, transport, and maintaining clean patient rooms and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing using basin-less products and oral care.
• Perform hourly rounds and respond to patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist move of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms, instruments, bedpans, urinals and equipment.
• Keep unit stocked with supplies and perform other duties as assigned.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
