Select Specialty Hospital in Wilmington, DE seeks a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time day shifts. The role includes patient bathing, oral care, mobility assistance, rounds, transport coordination, and maintaining clean patient rooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification or related field.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products and providing oral hygiene.
• Assist patients with oral feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds and monitor patient safety.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs, and other instruments.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly and maintain unit stock levels.

Location: Wilmington, DE (located inside of ChristianaCare Wilmington)

Schedule: Full-Time Day Shift, 12-hour Shifts

Compensation: $19.70 - $24.00 per hour, based on years of experience. Plus shift differentials for weekends.

Sign-On Bonus: $1,500

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
