Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Camp Hill is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate patient care on a 7p-7a night shift. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, hygiene, mobility, and rounds, while supporting a high standard of post-ICU recovery. Compensation is $19.70 to $24.00 per hour with night shift differentials. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available and BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification or related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin-less products and assist with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Assist with hair care and daily patient comfort tasks.
• Participate in hourly rounds and monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist transporters with moves.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and care instruments and equipment.
• Keep inventory and supplies stocked and organized; perform other duties as assigned.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs

• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
